Defensive End

Carolina could use an upgrade to their pass rush off the edges. Takk McKinley, and Soloman Thomas are the top two prospects remaining with Allen and Garrett off the board.

McKinley would give the Panthers the speed, and strength they need off the edge. He makes solid hits, doesn't play over aggressive against the run, and he can flat out beat opposing tackles off the snap with his speed.

Thomas has the similar skills set, except he has a bigger frame, and lacks McKinley's speed. Thomas can still cause tons of havoc for opposing offensive lines, enough to be given a good look.

Offensive Tackle

Carolina, once again, finds themselves needing an offensive tackle. It's hands down their top need entering the draft, and they will be in luck, as none of the teams picking before the Panthers has OT as their top need.

Ryan Ramczyk is the top offensive tackle entering the combines. He would certainly be a huge ugrade for the Panthers' offensive line. He would provide excellent protection off the edges for Cam Newton, in addition to providing an anchor for the ground game.

Running Back

Carolina could overlook their dire neeed for an offensive tackle if Leonard Fournette is still on the board. A backfield consisting of Cam Newton, and Leonard Fournette would be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Even if Fournette is off the boards, the Panthers could opt to select Dalvin Cook out of FSU. Cook has close to the same skills set, but doesn't absorb contact as well, and is less productive after intial contact.

Another option for Carolina is to trade up if they like Fournette, and think he wont fall to them at the 8th slot, or make a move to improve their defensive line by possibly trading up for Allen, or Garrett.

The other option is to trade down, add extra picks, and select offensive tackle Cam Robinson, or make a play for defensive end Taco Charlton. They could also play the odds that Takk McKinley, or Soloman Thomas may drop lower than the 8th pick.

If you were the Carolina Panthers' GM who would you draft?
