The Panthers will be without linebacker Luke Kuechly and center Ryan Kalil on Sunday when the team travels to Oakland to face the Raiders.
This is Kuechly's second concussion in the last two seasons. Last year with Kuechly on the field the Panthers defense surrendered just 16PPG, while in games he missed Carolina gave up 21PPG.
On top of missing Kuechly on the defensive side the Panthers will also be without defensive end Mario Addison, who is the team leader in sacks with 6.5.
Missing Kalil will put a damper on the Carolina's run game. That, coupled with their defensive woes could really put the Panthers between a rock and a hard place on Sunday against the Raiders - a team that has no problem scoring on a full defense let alone one that is missing two of it's best players.
