Philadelphia Eagles’ running back LeSean McCoy led all Week 1 rushers using CHFF’s Rusher Rating System.

His 15 carries for 122 yards led the league with an impressive 150.18 Rusher Rating. James Starks of the Green Bay Packers was second, with an also impressive 131.62 Rusher Rating, and could be in line for a bigger split of the carries with Ryan Grant in Green Bay.

Only three of the top 15 rushers, based on Rusher Rating, played for losing teams. That is an 80 percent winning percentage. If we just look at individual rushers with a Rusher Rating over 100, the winning percentage increases to 83.3 percent.
 
Examining offensive Rusher Rating and Rusher Rating Differential yields even more eye-opening results. Ninety percent of the offensive Rusher Rating leaders and 75 percent of teams with a positive Rusher Rating Differential won their game.

Next, let’s look at offensive Rusher Rating. As you can see, nine of the top 10 teams won their games for a whopping 90 percent win percentage.

When we examine the Rusher Rating Differential, 12 of the 16 teams with a positive differential won their games, a solid 75 percent!!
